Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Easy FlashLight mobile application ("the App") provided by Youngware ("we", "our", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
1. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on Android devices that you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and any applicable app store rules.
2. Description of the Service
The App provides flashlight-related features using your device's LED camera flash and screen, including a torch toggle, brightness control, strobe and SOS signaling, screen light effects, Morse code transmission, a home screen widget, a Quick Settings tile, and optional shake-gesture activation. Availability of individual features depends on your device's hardware capabilities.
3. Safety Notice
Photosensitivity warning: The strobe and flashing-light features may trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy or similar conditions. If you or anyone nearby is sensitive to flashing lights, do not use these features.
Not an emergency device: The App is not a substitute for professional emergency or signaling equipment. Do not rely on the App in situations where failure of the light could result in injury, loss, or death.
Device care: Prolonged use of the LED flash at high intensity may cause the device to heat up and will drain the battery. Use the App responsibly and in accordance with your device manufacturer's guidance.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations;
- Use the App to harass, endanger, or interfere with others (for example, shining or flashing light at drivers, pilots, or into others' eyes);
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except to the extent permitted by applicable law;
- Distribute, sublicense, rent, or resell the App or any part of it.
5. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, graphics, and code, is owned by us and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or other brand elements.
6. Privacy
The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. For details, please see our Privacy Policy.
7. Updates and Availability
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time without notice. We are under no obligation to provide maintenance, support, or updates. Updates, when provided, are subject to these Terms unless accompanied by separate terms.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR DEVICE.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR DEVICE DAMAGE (INCLUDING BATTERY DEGRADATION OR LED WEAR), ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
10. Termination
These Terms are effective until terminated. Your rights under these Terms will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with them. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and uninstall it. You may terminate these Terms at any time by uninstalling the App.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Nothing in these Terms deprives you of mandatory consumer protections under the laws of your country of residence.
