Update Android System · Youngware Corp. · Effective date: September 16, 2026

Youngware Corp. ("we", "us", or "our") develops and publishes the mobile application Update Android System (the "App"). The App is offered free of charge, is supported by advertising, and offers an optional Premium upgrade that removes advertising.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how that information is used and shared, and the choices you have. By installing or using the App you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. What the App Does

Update Android System helps you check for and keep up with updates on your device. Its features include:

  • Checking whether an Android OS (system) update is available for your device.
  • Showing the installed version of Google Play services and related Google components, and directing you to the Google Play Store to update them.
  • Listing Google Play system (Mainline) modules installed on your device and their versions.
  • Showing Android System WebView version information and update options.
  • Listing the applications installed on your device, showing their details, and letting you open them, view them in the Play Store, or request uninstallation.
  • Displaying release notes and other reference information.

The App does not modify your operating system itself. All actual updates are performed by Android and Google Play, and any uninstallation is confirmed by you through the standard Android system dialog.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

The App does not require you to create an account, and it does not ask you for your name, email address, phone number, or any other contact information. If you contact us by email, we will receive the information you include in your message and use it only to respond to you.

2.2 Information read from your device

To provide its features, the App reads certain information locally on your device, such as your Android version, security patch level, device model, installed Google Play services version, installed Google Play system modules, WebView version, and the list of installed applications (package name, app name, icon, version, and install/update dates).

This information is used on your device to display update status and app information to you. We do not upload your list of installed applications to our own servers.

2.3 Information collected automatically by third-party services

The App integrates third-party software development kits (SDKs) for advertising, analytics, crash reporting, push notifications, and in-app purchases. These SDKs may automatically collect information such as:

  • Device information (device model, manufacturer, operating system version, language, screen size, and device settings).
  • Advertising identifiers (the Google Advertising ID) and app-instance identifiers.
  • Approximate location derived from your IP address.
  • App usage information (screens viewed, features used, session length, app version, and time of use).
  • Ad interaction information (ads shown, clicked, or viewed).
  • Crash logs and diagnostic information when the App encounters an error.
  • Purchase and subscription status information for the Premium upgrade.

The specific data collected by each service, and how it is used, is governed by that service's own privacy policy. See Section 4 for details and links.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features.
  • Display advertising in the App, including personalized advertising where you have given consent.
  • Process and verify your Premium purchase or subscription and restore it on your devices.
  • Understand how the App is used so that we can improve it.
  • Detect, diagnose, and fix crashes and technical problems.
  • Send you notifications related to the App, such as update-related information, if you allow notifications.
  • Protect the App against fraud, abuse, and invalid advertising traffic.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services. Each of these services may collect information used to identify your device and has its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review.

Service Purpose Privacy policy
Google Play Services Core platform functionality, including the Play Store integration used for updates. policies.google.com/privacy
Google AdMob Serving banner, interstitial, native, and app-open advertisements. AdMob privacy information
Google Analytics for Firebase Anonymous usage statistics that help us understand and improve the App. firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Firebase Crashlytics Crash and error reporting. firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Firebase Cloud Messaging Delivering push notifications to your device. firebase.google.com/support/privacy
RevenueCat Managing the Premium in-app purchase and subscription status. revenuecat.com/privacy
Google Play Billing Processing payments for the Premium upgrade. policies.google.com/privacy

5. Advertising and Your Choices

The App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob and its partner ad networks. Depending on your region and your choices, these advertisements may be personalized based on your interests.

  • Consent. When required by law (for example, in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), the App shows a consent form when you first launch it. You can accept or decline personalized advertising, and you can change your choice later from the App's privacy options.
  • Device settings. You can reset your Google Advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization at any time in your device's settings under Settings > Google > Ads (the exact path varies by device).
  • Premium. You can remove advertising from the App entirely by purchasing the Premium upgrade.

6. In-App Purchases (Premium)

The Premium upgrade is sold through Google Play. Payment is handled by Google Play Billing, and we do not receive or store your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and to keep track of whether Premium is active on your device. RevenueCat receives a purchase token from Google Play and an anonymous app-user identifier; it does not receive your name or email address from us. Subscriptions, if any, can be managed or cancelled through your Google Play account.

7. Notifications

The App may send you push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging, for example to inform you about app updates or new features. On Android 13 and later the App asks for your permission before showing notifications. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device's app settings.

8. Permissions Used by the App

Permission Why it is needed
Internet / Network state / Wi-Fi state Loading advertisements, sending analytics and crash reports, receiving notifications, verifying purchases, and checking whether a network connection is available.
Post notifications Showing notifications on Android 13 and later.
Query all packages Listing the applications and Google Play system modules installed on your device so that their versions and update status can be shown. This information stays on your device.
Request delete packages Letting you start uninstalling an app from within the App. Android always shows its own confirmation dialog before anything is removed.

The App does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, files, SMS, or call logs.

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

  • With the third-party service providers listed in Section 4, to the extent needed for them to provide their services to us.
  • When required by law, regulation, legal process, or a governmental request.
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of Youngware Corp., our users, or the public.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you through the App or this page.

10. Data Retention

Information read from your device for the App's core features (such as installed app lists and version information) is processed on your device and is not retained by us. Information collected by third-party services is retained according to each provider's retention policy; for example, Google Analytics for Firebase retains user-level data for a limited period that we configure, and Crashlytics retains crash reports for a limited period. Purchase records are retained for as long as needed to honor your Premium entitlement and to meet legal and accounting requirements.

11. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Communication with third-party services is encrypted in transit. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the address below and we will take steps to delete it.

13. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws (such as the GDPR in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, or the CCPA/CPRA in California), including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, the right to object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time.

Because most information collected through the App is held by the third-party providers listed in Section 4 and is tied to device identifiers rather than to your name, the most effective ways to exercise these rights are usually to:

  • Withdraw or change your advertising consent from the App's privacy options.
  • Reset your Advertising ID or turn off ad personalization in your device settings.
  • Uninstall the App, which stops all further collection.

You may also contact us directly using the details in Section 16, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

14. International Data Transfers

The third-party services we use may process information on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. These providers rely on legally recognized transfer mechanisms, such as standard contractual clauses, where required.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page and, where the changes are material, we will notify you through the App. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the App after a change takes effect means that you accept the updated policy.
