Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PDF Editor mobile application (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. The Service
The App provides tools for working with PDF documents on your device, including viewing, annotating, filling and signing, organizing pages, merging, compressing, password-protecting, and exporting PDF files. All document processing is performed locally on your device.
2. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Android devices that you own or control, for your personal or internal business purposes, in accordance with these Terms and any applicable app store terms.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except to the extent permitted by applicable law;
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations;
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the App or its related services.
3. Your Content
You retain all rights to the documents, signatures, and other content you create or process with the App ("Your Content"). We do not access, collect, or claim any ownership of Your Content. You are solely responsible for Your Content, including:
- Ensuring you have the right to open, edit, sign, or distribute the documents you process;
- Maintaining backups of important documents;
- Safeguarding passwords you apply to documents — a password-protected file cannot be recovered if the password is lost.
4. Purchases and Subscriptions
- The App may offer in-app purchases or subscriptions (for example, a premium upgrade that removes ads or unlocks features). Payments are processed by Google Play; we do not collect or store your payment card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in your Google Play account settings.
- Except where required by law or by Google Play's refund policy, purchases are non-refundable. Refund requests are handled through Google Play.
- Prices and available features may change; changes to an active subscription's price will apply from the next billing cycle after notice.
5. Advertising
The free version of the App displays advertisements provided by third-party advertising networks. Advertisements are the responsibility of the respective advertisers, and we are not liable for the content of third-party ads or for any products or services offered through them.
6. Electronic Signatures
The App allows you to draw and place signatures onto documents as images. Whether such signatures are legally valid or binding depends on the laws and requirements applicable to your situation and jurisdiction. The App does not provide certified digital signatures, identity verification, or an audit trail, and we make no representation that documents signed with the App satisfy any particular legal requirement.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT ANY DOCUMENT PROCESSING WILL BE ACCURATE OR LOSSLESS. SOME OPERATIONS (SUCH AS COMPRESSION) MAY ALTER DOCUMENT CHARACTERISTICS, INCLUDING TEXT SELECTABILITY.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, DOCUMENTS, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP. IN ANY CASE, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
9. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you breach these Terms. Sections 3, 6, 7, 8, 10, and 11 survive termination.
10. Changes to the App and These Terms
We may modify, update, or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time. We may also revise these Terms from time to time; the updated Terms take effect when posted, and the effective date above will be revised accordingly. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in this section deprives you of mandatory consumer protections available under the laws of your country of residence.
12. Privacy
Your use of the App is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how information is handled in connection with the App.
