Summary: PDF Editor processes your PDF files entirely on your device. The app has no server of its own and does not collect or transmit your documents or personal information. To display ads, Google AdMob may process limited information such as the advertising ID.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how PDF Editor (the "App") handles your information. The App is a document editing tool that provides PDF viewing, annotation, signing, page organization, merging, compression, password protection, and export features.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect personal identifiers such as your name, email address, or phone number.
- No account registration or sign-in is required.
- Your PDF documents and their contents are never uploaded to the developer or any external server.
- The App does not access your location, contacts, photos, or any other device data.
3. Document Processing
All editing operations (annotation, signing, merging, compression, password protection, etc.) are performed only on your device.
- File access: The App accesses only the files you explicitly select through the Android Storage Access Framework (SAF). It does not request broad storage permissions.
- Temporary copies: A copy of the selected file is temporarily stored in the App's private cache folder for editing. This folder is inaccessible to other apps and is removed when the App is uninstalled.
- Recent files list: For convenience, the locations (Uris) and names of recently opened files are stored only on your device. They are never transmitted externally.
- Sharing: Files are passed to another app only when you explicitly use the Share feature and choose the receiving app yourself.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App displays ads served by Google AdMob to keep the App free. In the course of serving ads and preventing fraud, Google may automatically collect and process information such as:
- Advertising ID
- Device information such as IP address, device model, and OS version
- Ad interaction data such as impressions and clicks

5. App Permissions
- Internet access: Used solely for displaying ads. No network connection is used for document processing.
- File access: Limited to files you select through the system file picker.
6. Data Security
Because all document processing happens on your device, there is no pathway for your documents to be exposed externally. When you use the password protection feature, your document is protected with standard PDF encryption (AES), and the password you enter is never stored. Please note that if you lose your password, the developer cannot recover the document.
7. Data Deletion
Data the App stores on your device (temporary copies and the recent files list) can be deleted as follows:
- Device Settings → Apps → PDF Editor → Storage → Clear cache / Clear data
- Uninstalling the App removes all app data.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at any specific age group and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page and the effective date above will be revised accordingly.
